Athletes won first Olympic medals for our country moneybox in Canadian city Vancouver. On February 18 warrant officer of sport team of MIA domestic forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yelena Khrustalyeva became silver medalist in biathlon by 15 km – individual ski racing with 4 firing lines. Previously Khrustalyeva have got fifth result in biathlon by 7,5 km and eleventh in biathlon by 10 km. Minister of Internal affairs, Chairman of sports society “Dinamo” Serik Baimaganbetov sent congratulatory telegram to woman athlete, where thanked her for successes in Olympic Games and wished to make high progresses in sports.

18.02.2010 Results of “STOP-traffic” preventive measure, was holding from February 8 to February 12, 2010
With a view of crimes prevention and detection relating human traffic in period from February 8 to February 12, 2010 on the territory of the Republic “STOP-traffic” preventive measure was held, the main task of which was detection of facts of human traffic, procuration, maintaining of a house of prostitution, prostitution implication, kidnapping and illegal deprivation of liberty purposely for exploitation.

Within a week there were committed 1861 crimes, 1480 of which were detected in hot pursuit, 402 before committed crimes also were detected. 92 suspects were arrested, 7 firearms were confiscated. 192 drug-related crimes were detected, 69 of which were drug traffic. 68 kg of narcotic drugs, including over than 1,5 kg of heroine and 11 kg of hashish were confiscated.
